Grrr...

Didn't sleep well last night. Why is it when ya wake up to go pee you can never fall back asleep and sleep as good as you were the first time? I HATE THAT! lol....I guess it's, because you wake your brain up from it's rest. Then, ya lay there and think of all this crazy stuff instead of sleep. ugh...I told myself to go back to sleep plenty of times. It didn't work. It sucks...This morning we had to get Aiy at her house at 6:30am. It was more like 6:50am though- but that's still too early, especially when you were up for what felt like three hours in the middle of the night. Grrr....*sigh* Now, I'm tired, really tired. I can't go back to sleep, because the little ones are up and have energy. It never fails... Yesterday, was my mom's birthday. She didn't even go out of the house. Well, except to put the trash outside. Poor thing. If I was in NY with her we would have all gone out to eat. I felt bad....She was telling me on the phone that it was raining and she had to take out the garbage. One of the trash cans was FULL of water and she had to empty it on her own. Does that sound like something you'd want to do on your birthday? That doesn't sound like something I'd want to do, period. Then, the bags broke on her...Ew. Poor ma! She also made her own dinner and of course for everyone else, too. *shakes head* I wish I could have been there. To top it off she didn't even get the package I sent her. It seems to be taking it's sweet time. Even though I sent it off 9 days ago. Go figure! It better get there or someone is in trouble! :X Today, is going to be another windy day in the land of entrapment. Oh joy...lol....The kids are itching to get outside and play on their slide and inside their little play house, but it looks like they have to wait until Saturday. Saturday, is supposed to be 70 degrees...Oh and Charles, has his basketball tournament this weekend. YAY! It's in Jemez and I can't wait to see him play. GO WBL! (No, it doesn't stand for women's basketball league- LOL- For real though, it doesn't) I'll be the loudest one from the bleachers... You can take the girl out of NY, but ya can't take the NY out of the girl. Aight!

Sick and Tired...

"Meesa", isn't feeling well. She has a cold. Aiyana, was in Arizona for Easter weekend and it turns out she was really sick with a bad cold and an ear infection. We didn't even know she was back until Monday when she called us. She said she'd call on Easter, but that never happened. She went to the doctor's and supposedly is taken medicine for her ears...We'll see. She's supposed to sleep over on Tuesdays, but not with her coughing everywhere and getting everyone else sick. Or in Aamya's case (sicker.) When I was younger I don't remember being all that sick. :-P I got ear infections and that was about it. Anyway, I hope the girls get better and get better real soon. I talked to an old friend today for like two hours on the phone. It turns out she's pregnant and was asking me all sorts of questions and wanting my advise. :-)~ I'm happy for her. :) It's been such a long day. I didn't feel good at all today. My legs were aching all day. I thought it was, because I was dehydrated. So, I drank like two bottles of water and ate, but I ate late...They were still hurting afterwards :( I took a really hot bath and that seemed to help. On top of that I had a really bad headache. Sucks...I finally feel better now. I think I just need rest. I don't know why I am so tired. Doesn't seem like I was doing anything I don't usually do- I dunno. *sigh* I can't wait for bedtime. The kids are in bed and I'm ready myself. hehe...Today, is my mom's birthday. Happy Birthday, Ma! We love ya! I'm just watching the news on Terry Schiavo's case. *shaking head* What a sad story. It happens everyday and it's just so sad...I think I'll watch a little more and then I'm going to bed...*yawn*

Happy Easter

We had a wonderful Easter!!! We fixed the kids Easter baskets the night before after they were fast asleep...Get this, they got money instead of candy. My kids DO NOT eat candy. Once in awhile they get a lolly pop, but that's very seldom and I'm going to try to keep it like that. (They'll thank me when they're a teenager and have all their teeth) lol...So, we put coins in their eggs. Easter morning the kids got up and ran into the living room where everything was waiting for them. They had a good time playing with everything. Then, we got ready for church. Church, was PACKED! I knew it would be. We stood at the back of the church and stayed about an hour before Brev and Meesa, got really antsy. Meesa, was really naughty- but she was standing near her daddy and I more less had Brevin....We tried to keep them quite. Brev, did pretty well. Meesa, was standing by a door and kept hitting her head on it. The sound echoed through the whole church- I swear...LOL There were lots of babies crying in church so it wasn't that bad. After Church it was the funniest thing... Brev, was hungry and felt like telling me every 3 minutes. So, Brev, had an idea that we'd go out to eat. He said he wanted, pancakes....And eggs....And had the nerve to ask ME what else HE wanted to eat....lol....So, after per swaying us for 10 minutes we decided to take him up on his offer and go out to eat. We went to chili's and that made him happy. He's too funny!!! We were just going to go home and make them lunch there, but NO- Brev wanted to go OUT and eat. So, there we are at chili's. Charles and I, got an "oldtimer." Brev, wanted Mac n' cheese. Meesa, got chicken and broccoli so they can spilt it and have a lil of both. We ate well though and thanked Brev, afterwards. He DID have a great idea. Now it was back home to change the kids for their afternoon nap. While the kids napped, I talked to my mom for a little bit. Same 'ole stuff going on there...But it's always good to know about what they were up to. Next, Charles and I, decided to be productive. We went out in the back yard and uncovered the kids house and slide.(Their slide was in pieces inside the house.) So, we started folding up the tarp that it was covered with and taking all the pieces out. Thank God, we only had to put together the slide and not the house. Charles, noticed there was some depris coming out of the slide as we lay the pieces out. Then, he said, "I think there was something living in here." I freaked out and was like, what are you talking about? As the sun beat down on us I noticed a shadow in the pieces that make up the side...I looked some more and yelled, "There is something in there!!!" I looked closer and it was the shadow of a MOUSE! I freaked out and Charles, was turning it and turning it so the mouse would come out one of the holes...Meanwhile, all these peanut shells were falling out onto the concrete all over he place. We figured out they were living in there through the Winter. Right next to where we had the house all covered up, is the tree I fed the birds. I always put pop corn, bread, seed, and peanuts for the squirrel out there. So, these damn mice have been stocking up in our son's slide....Ugh- okay on with the story. So, we saw the first one run out and take off over the wall. He was cute (his face that is...The lil stringy tail has got to go, ew) and then we started looking at the other pieces to see if there was any more little guys hiding in there. Turns out there was another one...They must have been living together. Ew!! I was worried about their poop and caring diseases....Charles, shook everything out and we looked at what came out- Just leaves and lots of peanut shells- no poop! EW! Thank God!! We figured they pooped outside while stealing all the bird's food. So, we cleaned it out with the hose. I ran in the house to get some BLEACH and we cleaned it good. I couldn't get over that... They were cute, but I don't want them living in our children's toys for heaven sake. So, after cleaning and putting the slide together it was okay, again. While I was out there in the back yard my dad called. Him and I, got to talk for like 30 minutes. He never talks that long on the phone. hehe. I was happy, but I was baking in the sun. It was only 60 degrees yesterday, but in the sun it felt at least 70! HOT! But we had a good talk. :-) That was nice! After all the stuff with the mice, I think I decided just to stick to just bird seed. That was cute, but I wish they would have found somewhere else to house over the winter. Charles and I, took a walk in the Bosque yesterday as well. We saw lots of tad poles in the stream that runs through the Bosque- actually I think it's a ditch. They were really cute though. We saw a few lizards in the back yard, as well. All animals/reptiles were out yesterday, because we had gorgeous weather. :) The kids got to play outside, too after their nap and they loved it. They had fun in the back as Charles and I tackled another problem area, The garage! We had tons of boxes from the kids new bunk beds and also from all the girl scout cookies. Charles' dad was going to come with his truck and take it all away, but we needed to get rid of it. What a mess!!! We took all our left over crap and piled it nicely on one side. Brev's, fire truck bed, too. Gosh, we have a lot of junk in there. We found some more stuff to give to 'The Arc.' The rest we put neatly and swept all the 'yuck' out. Now it looks nice! :) So, we got a lot accomplished on Easter Sunday. Usually, I'm in the kitchen back home with my mom cooking in our 'good clothes.' This year I was cleaning in my Kapris- go figure! We had fun and got a lot done. Charles, cooked a good dinner, too. YUM! Nothing like ham on Easter and for dessert we had chocolate covered, strawberries that we made ourselves. Yummy! We never got to color eggs which is a Easter tradition that I always did as a child. We're going to do them today instead. There isn't enough time in a day to get it ALL done, but we sure did try. hehe...We had a good day. :)

What a day...

What a day...Once again I'm tired beyond belief. Ugh...The kids ware me out. They have so much energy. If I had an ounce of their energy I could get so much accomplished. I get a lot done, but I run myself ragged trying to do it. As I write this I have to remake the kids bunk beds after washing everything on their beds. Do you know how hard it is to make a bunk bed? Especially the top!!! The bottom I can do, but the top is so damn hard. *shakes head* I have another two loads of wash to fold, too. After already washing and folding two earlier (not to mention putting them away as well.) I've decided to take a break though. I need a minute to breathe. I'll be glad when March "madness" is over. I get so sick of hearing about college basketball it's not even funny. Ugh. I like NBA, but college has got to go...TIVO THIS AND TIVO THAT...( I love tivo and have a hard time surviving with out it, but TIVO-ing college basketball is so not cool...) Ugh, so I think I just need to breathe. I'm just exhausted and need a vacation...Wouldn't that be nice to just be able to up and leave...??!! Somewhere warm...Let the kids spend their energy outside, instead of inside...I can't wait until it gets warm enough for them to go outside and play with their house and slide. Then, I can mess around with my flowers and bake in the sun. We did a little of that already, but the winds have kicked up and make it impossible to enjoy anything. Maybe after Easter it will get warm. I have no clue what we're doing for Easter other than I want to have an Easter egg hunt for the kids. Hmmm...We're coloring eggs and going to church in the morning. Other than that I have no idea what else we'll plan for the day.

New Mexico's wind :(

Spring is definitely here. I go outside and practically get pushed the whole way by the wind. I hate Spring in NM. It's so hard to enjoy the out doors when the wind is so strong it just moves ya right along...What kind of crap is that? It's supposed to be a peaceful time to enjoy the warm weather and plant plants, take walks, weed the garden, let the kids play outside....Who can do that when the wind gusts are like 40 and 50 mph?! I can't. Dirt is flying in your eyes...I wear contacts and that's not cool...Nothing is worse than dirt in the eye. UGH! I guess that's NM for ya. I'll be glad when I can see some damn grass, again. I have xeriscape (whatever it's called) in my yard...All that's back there is desert plants and rocks...It has the nerve to be growing bits of grass here and there...So, I have to go out there and pull it up, because it doesn't belong there. That's the only grass I get to see. In NY there is grass everywhere, it's normal out there...Not in good 'ole NM, Grass is a luxury. :P I tell ya. I'll be glad when we move back East. I definitely won't be missing the Spring New Mexico winds- that's for sure!!!! :-P

Easter Pictures

We took the kids to get their Easter pictures done today. They looked really cute. They did pretty good except for Aamya, again. She's hard to get to smile, because she's so shy around other people. We managed to get through it. Brevin and Aiyana were just posing away. They did really well. So, it wasn't too bad this time. I thought it was going to be really hard. The kids are taking a nap now. They were so tired the started to fall asleep in the car. Poor lil ones. So, now I get to relax. I put all their Easter mess away. We kind of tore the house up when we were getting ready. Oops! It looks better now though. It takes so much work getting them ready- it's not even funny. Ugh...lol...Glad we're done with pictures for awhile. We won't get any more done until July, for Brevin's birthday. YAY!

Horses

So, where did the horses come from? They're Charles' Dad's horses, a.k.a Grandpa! The last time I saw these horses Aiyana, was two years old. lol! It's been awhile. Charles, has the honor of feeding them all week. So, I asked for some pictures. Minnie, has gotten huge!!! That's all I kept hearing and now I can see it for myself. She was just a lil one when I saw her and she was wild. You couldn't get close to her. Now, she's been tamed and looks so sweet. Midnight, was the horse that Aiyana used to ride. Well, we put her on Midnight and Midnight walked around a bit as if she was humoring us. hehe...I'd like to visit them again. They're too cute! Lucky, Papa...

SNOW

Yesterday, I woke the kids up early from their day time nap so we could go and play in the snow. At that time it was about 3.5 inches and the snow was still coming down. Brevin, was excited to put on all the winter gear and get ready to PLAY. Aamya, on the other hand was still sleepy. These kids will sleep all day if ya let them. So, after having two hours rest, which is just enough, I geared Aamya up and we were ready to embrace the snow. We weren't planning on staying out there long, considering they're just 'lil guys.' It was fun though! Brevin, couldn't wait to throw a snowball at me. HA! I must say he has pretty good aim. Aamya, was trying her hardest to throw one at me. So, I let her for kicks. HA! She's so cute. After a short while we came back in the house all wet with rosey cheeks. It was a lot of fun. I took the camera out, too and got some good shots of their second snow experience. It was a BLAST! After some hot (warm) chocolate and a good lunch, we were ready to stay warm and play inside. It was nice to see the snow fall from the sky, again. I haven't seen snow you could say since I left NY. It doesn't snow much, if not at all where we live now. We're stuck in a valley. Ugh- BUT we got about 6 inches when it was all said and done. This morning I woke up to snow. It makes me feel like a kid again. Plus, it's just great to see Brevin and Aamya's eyes light up when looking at it. Hehe! :) Everything is so much prettier with snow on it. :) I went out and swept away the snow out back so my birds could eat their food. They didn't know what to make of it. Poor lil guys. After coming home from the dentist, (which was a waste of a trip. I changed dentist and they just took a look at me and scheduled another appointment. They really just wanted my x-rays. I thought it was going to be for a deep cleaning. They didn't tell me that part!!! If people would only do their jobs- ugh!) Charles and Brevin, got to throw snowballs at each other, too! Brevin, took another chance and got me right in the butt and the eye...grrr...He thought it was the funniest thing in the world. Daddy, got him good though. It was fun! Aamya, practiced again and threw hers toward the driveway, not looking to stun anyone. Good Girl, Aamya! After all that fun, we ate some lunch and decided to go to the movies to see, Robots! This way we could get the car fixed at the same time. Sounds good to me... After walking around the mall to find some high bouncing balls, we headed to the movies. It was a great and really funny movie!!! Ya got kids? GO SEE IT! HA! We just got home a little while ago...We wanted to stop by Best Buy and get, The Incredibles. Greta movie, too! Aiyana, will be coming over soon. We'll have some great times tonight playing all of our games and then we'll have to take her home. Only to do it all tomorrow. Sad thing is, the snow is melting and there is hardly anything left...:( It was beautiful and FUN while it lasted. :-)

LOOK SNOW Posted by Hello

It's Snowing!

I can't believe it's snowing.!! Just the other day it was 75 degrees outside. Today, there is snow accumulating. CRAZY! Anyway, it's really pretty. It's only the second time it snowed this winter. hehe...I was really excited to see that our engagement announcement was printed in the local paper on Saturday. How exciting!!! :) I wanted to do it after we got engaged in Dec. Of 2004, but it makes it more fun this way. It's like it happened all over again. Kind of cool! Charles, has the day off tomorrow. So, I'm really excited to spend some time with him after my dental appointment. I'm proud to say that he's all done with ditch work. What a mess that was! He was working all weekend. Usually, he's home and we're just chillin'. I'm glad to say that next year we won't be around to go through that, again. YAY! He won't miss it! LOL! Other than looking outside my window checking out the beautiful snow, there isn't much going on. Kids are sleeping so I get a break. They would really love the snow. By next year I'll probably be so sick of it. It's hard, because when you live in NM, you get spoiled with wonderful weather. I was wearing Kapris for Heaven sake, and now I need a winter jacket. lol- I'm telling ya. I bet the poor birds are really confused...

Ditch Work

So, my baby has been doing "ditch work" since Thursday. It sucks, because I'm used to talking to him when I want. We have our times that we talk during the day and now it's like I never know when he's going to call...And he never knows when he'll be able to. It sucks! The worst part is that ditch work has gone into our ONLY day, TODAY...It's like, It's OUR day!!! And we can't be together. I wanted to take the kids to the park, it's beautiful outside (75 degrees!) Ugh, and he has to be working his "tooty" off doing ditch work- not by choice. It just sucks!!! So, I'm here and bored while it's a gorgeous day outside. It's actually HOT in the sun. It feel so good. I'm finally not freezing. I wish my babe could have been home today. We would of had fun. I can't wait until he gets home though. The days always seem to go by so fast when we're together and so slow when we're apart. I guess that's how the cookie crumbles. Turns out it will be the same way tomorrow, more Ditch work. It's taken 4 days- 2 of our days to clean those crazy things. UGH! So, we have two dental appointments coming up in the beginning of the week. One is mine, ugh! I'm not looking forward to it. I guess no one does. I'm going to get it over with though. :-P Nothing good going on these days. Just lots to get done...And that's no fun. :-P

After the Storm

It seems when a really bad storm hits, the next day is beautiful. Like yesterday was such an awful day. Today, is absolutely beautiful outside. It's 70 degrees!!! I finally got to take the kids outside and play with them. We took a walk in the Bosque. The birds were chirping and there was a flock of geese overhead circling. We also had a road runner in our back yard. I got some pictures of it, too! I'm so glad today isn't like yesterday. So, relieved that today is a good day. :)

Bad days call for bad times

Today is not a good day at all. Anything and everything that could have went wrong today, HAS! God doesn't give you anything that you can't handle. I repeat these words on days like this. I MUST be a strong woman then, because I have a lot on my dish! Look past the silver lining, there will be brighter days...BUT today isn't one of them. How do you get over something that will last the rest of your life?

Bunkbeds Posted by Hello

Brevin's tower Posted by Hello

THE BUNK BEDS ARE HERE

We did a lot this weekend. I think about poor little TJ all the time. I'm going to blow up a picture for my mom, because she doesn't have many pictures of him. She'll like it. Brevin and Aamya's Grandpa, brought the bunk beds for them on Saturday. They are popular and we were waiting for the shipment to come in. So, that was good news. It was crazy putting them together. Lots of HARD work. It's SOLID HEAVY wood. UGH! We had to take apart Aamya's crib and Brevin's fire truck bed. We had to take everything out of their room. All their toys, everything! Which was a BIG job, because they have a lot of crap! lol...We had to re arrange their bookshelf and TV stand. We had to vacuum everything. Then, the bunk beds were in the garage- we had to take the million pieces out of the boxes and carry everything into their room. Meanwhile, the kids are jumping on all their stuff that filled up our large living room...They were having a party while we were pre-occupied. NAUNIES! Then, once we started putting it together- it took us 3 hours. It was a TON of work. We did it...Hauled all their toys back in their room. Put everything in a new spot. Re-arranged posters (you get the picture) and now it looks nice. :) Kids love it!! They got new sheets. Brevy, picked out Nemo and Meesa, got Dora. They're happy!! It's totally new for Aamya, because it's her first "big girl bed." She's really loving it. Brevin, is on top and just totally takes advantage! lol...It was a lot of work, but we would of had to do it sometime. We just got a TASTE of what we're going to go through in 6 months. UGH!! When we move, we'll have to take it all apart and I'm NOT looking forward to that...Or any of the moving process for that matter... lol :)

R.I.P- T.J

I just got some really hard news a short time ago, from my mom in NY. She called to tell me that my cat, T.J had to be put to sleep. They took him to the vet for his breathing. He's been having a runny nose and lots of sneezing for some time now. He's old and they wanted to get him checked out. The Vet said his lungs were full of fluid and did some tests on him. It turns out that he had, "Kitty HIV". He contacted it through another cat while fighting. The Vet said they can give him antibiotics, but his body wouldn't be able to fight it off. They gave them the option to put him down. He was suffering everyday. When we visited them we could see him in misery while trying to catch his breath. He used to sleep with his mouth open. My mom and uncle decided to put him down and stop his suffering. After getting home a little while ago, she called me to let me know. It's a sad day in Newburgh. He'll be cremated and buried in Connecticut. He was our cat. He was a good cat. He had a lil "girlfriend," named "Boots." She is mostly black except for her white paws. They were always with each other . They hung out together outside my uncle's house. T.J, was both an indoor and outdoor cat. T.J (Thomas Jay) will me missed, but not forgotten. :*(

Potty Training

Aamya, has been doing great at going potty. Girls learn a lot faster...Usually it's the summer AFTER their birthday is a good time...But she's ahead of her schedule. She's been dry for a week now. It's GREAT! No more pull ups...Wow...The thought of that would be great. It was hard when they were BOTH in diapers. Brevin, has grasped the concept a L-O-N-G time ago. Now that Aamya, is ready too- I'll take it. It's a great accomplishment for the both of us. :-) I think she really got interested in the potty while in Colorado. I guess, it's more fun in new surroundings... hehe. I'm HAPPY! I thought she'd be hard, because she's always in her own little world. For people that don't have children it probably sounds like a simple concept, but it really isn't. I couldn't be more proud. YAY!!! Way to go, Aamya! :)~
