Healthy Heart..Good treatment for Breast Cancer...?

The Little Things...

I talked to the wedding consultant yesterday. We spoke for over 30 minutes, which was good. I needed to ask some questions and more importantly she needed to ask some questions. We got a lot accomplished. There's so much to go over...Little things that I never thought of. Ex. Bubbles or rice? Self park or Vellet? Traditional isle arrangement or on an angle? Geez..We must of went over all kinds of things. It's good, because that means it's coming together nicely. All I need to know is, will the weather be nice? I guess we'll find out in due time. I'll just be glad when it's time. I've been thinking about this day since I was a little girl. I guess most of us do...It's just going to be nice having our families there. Yesterday, was my uncle Frank's birthday (which I almost forgot!) We called him to wish him a Happy 70th Birthday! Wow...70, I can't even imagine really. He sounded happy to talk to us. Charles and the kids talked to him as well. It was really nice to hear his voice. Almost all of his children called him earlier in the day as well. He's even excited about the wedding. :) hehe... Well, I stayed up way too late last night and I'm so tired. I know there is something I should be doing other than sitting here. :)~

The curse of the "couple hundred"--ugh.

Our Crazy Day...:)

We were so busy today. We were running around like headless chickens...LOL. We got so much done though. Charles, went to get Marisa and was back by 9am. Then, we got out of the house by 10 after and I wasn't even ready. LOL. I went to my first appointment and got some great accessories for my special day. Then, Charles and I, went to breakfast together. We ate really well. :) Piggies! We headed to the Bridal shop after that. I got my alterations done. I'm also going to ship my dress...It's MUCH easier than trying to LUG that thing on the plane...So, it's all paid for...Then, it was back home (LATE) to rush Marisa back to her house. The kids were sleeping when I got here, which was great!! :) Then, I started to FINALLY address my invitations and chatted with mom. Before I knew it- it was time to go to our next appointment which was across town to view some houses. Well, I got their at our Agencies' building and let them know we were ready to view a house. We were told that the person wouldn't be long...We ended up waiting 35 minutes in the car with the KIDS> Ugh. I hate people that aren't professional and don't know how to keep an appointment. We busted our asses to get there on time, all for nothing. I was so mad...I kept going into the building and asking them when the hell was this person going to show up. I really wanted to leave, but we wasted all that gas- so we sat there and waited. He finally showed and took us in the damn BOONIES> I mean it was so rural out there it wasn't even funny. Cheap houses though...And BIG! Saw two, nice, 4 bedroom, homes for WAY cheaper than what we're paying now...So, that was some good insight. Brev and Messa, were all excited...They were ready to move in. Nice! At least we know what's out there in case we have to stick around for awhile. I'm hoping and praying we're NOT sticking around though. LOL. So, that's that with houses. Then, we were on our way to Aiy's house....Then, back to pick up Marisa for a surprise birthday dinner. We went to our favorite place, Lone Star. It was good and the kids ate free. Not bad! :) We just got home after taking both Aiy and Rissa, home. CRAZY day...We've been in the car since 4:30pm- STRAIGHT! So, it feels good to be home. Now I have to finish those invitations and get them sent! Grrr....We had a lot of laughs tonight though. It was fun! I like it when we're altogether, it feels like how we should be...I'm all tired though. LOL...I got SO much done for the wedding...I'm SO SET! Or almost at least....LOL...

Jenice~

Today, Jenice and I, talked for two hours on the phone. I called to talk to her about the wedding and she called me back. We haven't talked like that in the longest. I really got to find out about how she felt about being in the wedding and all of the things that come with being a Bride's Maid from her point of view. It's a really big job to take on the stress of the Bride and make sure she's comfortable. She let me know that it would be an honor to be in it. WOW! I'm impressed and we really had a good conversation. I miss that--being able to talk to someone like that you've known for such a long time. I always thought that once I moved away that most of my friends that I had wouldn't want to stay in touch. That's just how it's always been when my friends from back in the day (like way back in the day) moved...Shelia, Keelie, Jody, Megan, Lisa, Andrea, Sheri...And so many more. You sit there and wonder what they're doing today. Why didn't they ever write back? Friends come and friends go...Now we all know this. But there are only a few that actually touch you. That actually stay with you in your heart, always...And she's one of them. I didn't think she was going to be a good friend, after a couple of years ago...All I did was try to stay in touch and I heard nothing...These days she's changed a lot of things in her life and have really come around. She's making things work and she's doing a GREAT job of it. She's going to make a GREAT pastor when the time is right. I just know it! I'm also glad she decides to not forget about me. hehe...I also got to talk to my dad and my mom, all in the same day. Lots of phone work. All is well with everyone and that's a GREAT thing. I hope things keep on that track. Tomorrow, we have three appointments and I can't wait. I'm going to look at some accessories for my wedding. We're going to get my dress altered. We're also going to look at some houses in another part of town. So, we have a busy day. Charles, is off and we plan to get it all done. By the time all that is done...Aiy, will be coming over. :) We're going to ride bikes. Should be fun...I can't wait. :)

MY NIGHT!

I came home from work tonight and had a fun night. We ate dinner and took Aiy home. Then, the we all went to my store to pick out some books. I got my free one and I got the kids some, because they were good for daddy today while I was away. So, they got rewarded for it. Brev, has also been asking for "Are We There Yet?" and my store didn't have it to buy so we rented one... (Mind you --we've already seen it in the movies when it came out), But Brev L<3ves it! So we rented it. We came home and played outside for awhile until it was almost dark...Charles and I, played badminton. While, the kids played on their slide and play house. It was fun! :) Then, we came inside and popped the movie in. We made some popcorn and had "movie night" in the living room. Then, I read them their books and it was off to bed. It was fun!!! We never get to do that anymore. Hehe...Charles and I are going to watch, "Alone in the Dark." I don't know how good it's going to be. "In the Dark", wasn't good at all...So, we'll see about this one. "Hostage," is really good....So if you haven't seen it, go get it! :)

Last Night- ugh...

I had to work last night and didn't get home until after 12am. Craziness....The place I work at doesn't have a janitor (WHICH IS SO GROSS!) So, they figure that they can make US clean the bathrooms. OH NO....That's just so UNsanitary...I tell ya. It's their way of saving a dollar so they don't have to hire another person to do the job. Well, I REFUSE! They don't pay me enough...That's crazy! I've never worked at such a "carefree" kind of place. I guess I'm used to places like my last job...#1 electronic store in the world...Where they actually care about their employees. *sigh* So, I didn't really like last night. All the girls were complaining of having to go into the men's restroom and clean up...I had to mop up everything...It's just NOT right. So, you can BEST believe someone will be reporting their ass. They know better and they still have us doing shit like that. Well, that was my first time, but you can best believe it will be the last. They're just so sneaky, so UNprofessional. I'm so disappointed. Sucks. Some good news though is while I was at work...Charles and the kids, went to pick up the envelopes for our invitations. We had the white ones they had previously gave us. I was wondering if they were going to let us keep them since our address was printed on there. I figured they'd want them back and would destroy them, which would be a waste. Luckily, they let us keep them. YAY! So, we have two boxes of inside envelopes and two of the outer. :) On top of that we got 20% off...Thanks to the MAMA! :) So, we really made out! Now, I get to send them off.

Wedding/Bday Party

It turns out that they screwed up the envelopes for the wedding invitations. Why us? This kind of this always happens to us. It never fails...No big deal, because I talked my way into getting 20% off, since they were the ones who screwed up. Way to go, Mom! So, we pick them up tomorrow. Go figure. They also took longer than expected to print out as well, but I kept quite. As long as I get them out by July 1st. Usually that's good wedding "etiquette"- at least one month before the wedding...But who goes by that? LOL... I think one month is a perfect amount of notice to attend a wedding. :) So, we're not doing too bad after all. Other than that, things are going well. We're getting it done, little by little. We have Brev's birthday to figure out as well. We kind of already know what we're doing. We're going to take them to Chuck E. Cheese in the AM to play and win some prizes. Then, in the afternoon we're going to invite everyone over to the house for a party...A cook out with cake- the whole *10* yards. So, it should turn out well. He can have fun all day long...Instead of waiting around for his party in the afternoon time, they can have fun in the morning, too! Sounds good to us. =) I'm sure he'll love it. Talked to my CUZ today. He had me laughing. He's still planning on getting his family together so I can meet all my cousins. I think that's so cool. He was telling me today that there are a lot of 'little ones' running around PK. I said, that would be perfect so Brev and Meesa can have someone to play with. It doesn't get any better. We're also planning on taking the kids to the beach when we're out there. My kids have NEVER seen a beach...And Aiy, doesn't remember ever going. So, it will be fun. We'll see what other trouble we can get ourselves into as well. :) I can't wait!!! We're all looking forward to the wedding and just having time to relax and breathe for awhile. :) Sounds absolutely perfect to me! <3

*Fun*

We've been having a lot of fun figuring out what to get next for the wedding. We went to breakfast today- just Charles and I. It was nice to get away. It's ALWAYS nice to get away. :) Our invitations are in...We just need to go pick them up. LOL.

Wedding Planning <<3

Wedding planning is coming along great! We went to try on suits and found one for baby. They don't seem to have Brev's size, but we're still looking. I don't want to spend an arm and a leg on a suit he'll only wear once and then out grow. He loves getting dressed up though. They both looked really handsome. I pushed my alteration appointment back...Gives me time to get some more "mullah" together. Turns out that everything I need for the dress will end up costing me what I in fact paid for the dress in the first place. Aiydiosmio! Like I said...Always make sure you have the time and money for alternations, ya Neva know what to expect...And actually my dress needs very little alterations done. Go figure! I finally called my mom two days ago. My dad said she wasn't feeling well. So, I called to check on her. She's doing good. She stopped drinking again- which is GREAT news! She's just in withdrawal. Now when I talk to her there's such a difference. She's alert and paying attention and so focused. It's really amazing. She sounds happier too. So, that's really GREAT news. She's interested in getting a dress for the wedding now. Three weeks ago I couldn't even talk about dresses for the wedding. She wanted to wear something 20 years old. So, I'm happy that she's happy. We'll get that under way when I get there. For now I picked some things out I think she'll like and will send them to her. :) It's basketball/garbage night. LOL. Ugh. Some other good news...The men are done with the patio. It looks nice. I'll have to take a picture of it. I'm so happy that they are gone. They did however pull up a plant and haven't come back to replace it yet. Linda was also talking about them hanging two plants on the patio and they didn't do that either. They left a bucket of finish outside...So, I was wondering if they're coming back...I don't know. I'm just glad they're gone. Today, was Aiy's last day of Soccer Camp. She really enjoyed it. It was really cute going to watch her play. She seemed to enjoy herself. :) I'm sure there's something I need to be doing right now, but I'm content NOT doing it. :) More later...

MEN! UGH!

A Few Days to do a TON of things....

My dress alteration appointment is coming up and coming up soon. I need to have everything done by then...I feel as though there isn't ever enough time to get things done. I need shoes, the petty coat and some other "unmentionables" to go with the dress....AHHHH! Charles, has basketball starting, again. I work weekends, and with meetings and everything else in the middle of the week, who has the time? Not us, but it looks as though we'll be having some late nights. We have to do it sometime. "THE GUYS" still need to get their suit arrangement going. We're going to see if they can have s lilac tie or something to tie in the whole "lilac" theme. I think it will look cute. I also haven't heard from the chief at Mohonk yet. He's supposed to be calling me so we can talk about the cake. It's fun, I just wish I had more time before my appointment to get what I need. Aiy, has soccer camp going on until Thursday. We're going to be with her tomorrow taking pictures. They work those girls hard. It's cute though, they're all so into it. I wish my parents put me in something like that when I was younger. I was just into Chorus and playing instruments... Until, I was able to sign up for things on my own. She likes it...But she was just complaining about everything this morning...ehh....girls! So fussy! No, landscaping this morning. They poured the cement yesterday about this time and haven't been back since. YAY! They're letting it dry. So, I actually could have slept late this morning, if we didn't have to go and get Aiy. GRRRR.....Eh, it wasn't meant to be, I guess. Talked to my cousin, the Rev.- yesterday. He's all set to marry us. He's so excited!! I'm excited that he's excited! Things work in mysterious ways. At first he wasn't able to do it...Now he's leaving earlier so we can all have more time there. I think it will be a blast. We're both very family oriented...Or at least with our own families. Our family in general, as a "whole" doesn't stay in contact with one another. I try hard to contact my aunts and uncles...And that's all you really can do. You can only do so much. So, when we get out there we're just going to take it amongst ourselves to learn about each other. He already started telling me some things about his side of the family. Ya know... who's- who type stuff, which I really appreciate. This family needs to write a BOOK- I swear! There is just so much going on. I would really like to sit down and do a family tree. Wouldn't that be something!? So, anyway, our conversation was interesting, to say the least. I need to get breakfast for the little ones and finish cleaning house...And it's only 9am. UGH>....LOL.

Late Nights...

Working nights isn't working well. I only have Friday night as available to work and so far they have scheduled me every night. It's too hard. I'm a FULL TIME mother to two, fully energized, children. I get up early and do my regular things all day...Clean house (which in itself is enough), of course take care of the kids (which is HUGE), and now I don't go in to work until 6pm and I'm scheduled until MIDNIGHT. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? After a full days work at home, it's so hard to me to function like that. That's crazy! I don't get home until after midnight. I eat dinner at midnight. My body is going 100 mph and I don't fall asleep until way after 1am! Then, I have to get up early the next day and do it all over again. I need to talk to someone...Did I mention you get NO BREAK WHAT SO EVER? Yeah, you can go pee and come right back, but that's it. So, I stand the entire time. It's hard for me, because my children ware me out. I wouldn't mind if all I did was...Just "chill" all day, then you actually HAVE energy. I don't like it very much. Every time I go to talk to someone- it's too busy and too hectic. UGH! Today, I'll have to stay past my shift to talk to someone. It's just nutty around there. Everyone is running around like headless chickens. I'm glad for that in a way, because it makes the night go by so quickly. This morning we had to get up early and get Aiy. I called last night to see if we could pick her up an hour late and bring her back and hour late. So, we got a little bit of rest this morning, but I need more. Ugh. And now they don't know when they'll be home to drop her off. I get off "early" tonight....So, we're going to take her home after I get off (which is late and ALL the children should be in bed.) But they want to play games. I don't have time for that. So whatever~ After work, we'll have to take her home. Right now it's time to eat breakfast...

NOISE!

NOISE! I wanted to go back to sleep this morning and these workers are outside CUTTING WOOD. UGH. I got up this morning early and startled, because The Arc is coming and I forgot to put the stuff out. So, as Charles was in the shower, I was lifting old, pc's and bags of stuff out to the curb...Oh fun~! Not to mention I was dizzy and tired...And I seem to have a slight cold. Ugh. Oh yeah, and the stupid workers come to my door before 8am and RING THE DOOR BELL. OHMIGOD- it clearly says, "KNOCK!" I'm not understanding these people...Anyway, he wanted our old, PC out on the curb. Charles, told him that there are some people coming to pick it up. So, when I try to go back to sleep...A little while ago- they start cutting wood and making a TON of noise outside my window. Wonderful! I have to have enough energy to last all day and all night, because Charles, has basketball tonight. So, it's just the kids and I. It's going to be a L-O-N-G day. Some good news... We found the girls dresses last night. It was crazy trying to pick something out that actually matched. CRAZINESS! First we picked Meesa's dress out like last week sometime. It was poofy, white, and adorable. We started to get Aiy's dress, but I really didn't like it. So, we left it on hold. Meanwhile, we went back the next day to see what else they had...And nothing in white. So, we looked for something lilac (the color of my bride's maid's dresses will be) and I found something really cute for her. She tried it on and we all liked it. Then, we looked for something lilac for Meesa (so they could match) and nothing. So, we have the lady call the other store...For some possibilities....One dress in white in Aiy's size, and Aiy's dress in Meesa's size...And no luck. So, we gave up and went back again yesterday to the other store to see what they had for ourselves. They had a lot more selection there. We played around with some different dresses. We tried to look for anything that matched in Aiy's size and Meesa's...We found this poofy, lilac thing. Eh, I said...Charles liked it right away. So, we had them try it on, and they look really cute. So, now we have to go back to our house on the other side of town, get meesa's dress, go all the way back over to the other mall, exchange the dress, and finally purchase the lilac ones. We were all tired and hungry by now, but we got it done. We ended the crazy cycle back and forth from two different malls. I think by the time we were all said and done we didn't get home until after 9pm and I still had to get the kids in the pj's and cook dinner. CRAZY! I'm glad the girls are done. I'm so relieved. Now, I just have to work with my Bride's Maid's...And the dresses will be completed. *yawn* I'm tired, so I'm going to go rest or at least attempt to with all the NOISE!

~Our NEW Patio~

We're getting a patio for the house. The owners were telling us about it last year and have got some people to finally come around to actually start working on it. I guess it's a good thing. The kids can go outside without being in the sun the entire time. They're using lots of our water to make the silly thing, and I complained yesterday...They're going to pay our water bill now. YAY! I think they should! These people just showed up at our house, too- unanounced! I was told that I would be informed of them coming first since I have a lock on the gate...And nothing. They showed up and started working. WTF? I couldn't get over that. I thought it was absolutely rude and unprofessional. These workers don't care though. They just want to get their job done and get going. *shakes head* It seems as though their unprofessional-manner has landed them in the "no hire zone." Turns out the agency won't be hiring these guys anymore, because of their unresponsive behavior. Apparently, they put in request after request to have these people call us before they come. This is the third time they have done this to us, so they're OUT! :) I just want them to leave my back yard and put everything the way it was. I went out there yesterday after they went home...They left soda tops all over the place. They splashed the kids' slide and the house with what I thought was cement...But was only mud (thank God!) I had to clean their mess...Like I have time for that! Ugh...People these days. They left their lunch crap everywhere. I mean, these are supposed to be grown up, "professional" people. Yeah right! So, anyway- everything is a mess and I would imagine the water bill will be sky high. That's what you get for hiring unreliable people. :P~

We enrolled Aiy in Basketball Camp. We went with her yesterday and stayed three hours as they drilled and taught the children basketball skills. It was really funny and cute to see the kids running around doing drills and races. We used to do that stuff in elementary school in gym with Mr. Sabella. lol. I was trying to think of my gym teachers name yesterday while watching the kids. Pretty funny! She looked cute though and even made a basket or two. :)

My mom

Eh, just need to vent. Talked to my mom a little while ago. She called and was obviously drunk or just about. I've tried talking to her and letting her know how I feel about it before. I even wrote her a long letter months ago. She's been drinking since she was pregnant with me. Yes, she drank while pregnant. Two beers, which is two too many when you're pregnant. These days it's 12 packs and then some. I guess lately it's been worse than what it used to be. Of course this bothers me. I want her to be healthy...But she doesn't want it for herself. I know I can't force her into giving alcohol up, but I really wish she would. She likes to argue and pick fights when she's drunk. So, she'll call me and start on that. With everything that's going on with work and wedding and having no money, that's the LAST thing I need. I wouldn't even need that if I had absolutely nothing going on. UGH! I know she doesn't see any of this. It's impossible to talk to her when she's like that. What can I do from way out here? Nothing! What can I do from NY? Nothing! She's not ready and may never be ready to admit she has a drinking problem. She stopped for like 3 months last summer, which was GREAT. I got to see her with no alcohol in her and she was pleasant. I sent her cards of support to let her know that I was thinking about her. Then, we had to come back to NM and has been off and on every since. She blames it on me leaving NY when I was 18 years old. She blames everyone around her. It's everyone's fault except hers- another form of a problem! I know it's a disease. I know there's no cure. I also know that will be what kills her. It just hurts to see her like that. I don't want to stay there when we go there to get married. I wish there was some other way. I can't stay in that house and watch her drink all day and all night. I can't! I did it all my life...It hurts so bad to see her like that. She doesn't love herself enough to get help. She knows it's not something she can do on her own. She knows I love and support her, but it's not enough. My dad isn't going to help her. I think he's given up on her as well as my uncle. They don't say anything to her, because they don't want to argue. Best believe if it comes up there will be some furniture moving up in there. So, he usually buys it for her when he gets home. Which is like the WORST thing he can do. It's just a shame. A shame that she isn't thinking about herself. I just wish I could have my mom again. :( In a perfect world, I would.

My Night

Home from work and up and just not ready to go to sleep yet. So, what else...I came on to blog--not for long though, because I just found out that Sling Blade is on...And it's one of my favorite movies. It's weird, but I like it. So, I've been talking to my mom and she has a cell phone now...Go figure, My mom with a cell phone? That's ironic. She can barley figure out the remote control to her TV. (sounds mean, but so true!) LOL. My dad got it for her, which is kinda cute. So, she's been trying to figure out how t use it and hanging up on me a lot lately, but she's getting the hang of it. Wedding plans coming along wonderfully. It's amazing...I'm happy it's going so well though. I've picked out the flower girls dresses. It turns out their G'ma is buying them. I was just going to have them made, because it's cheaper. Eh, whatever. So, we're supposed to go tomorrow and have them try them on. "Meesa", looks really good in hers. Aiy, will try hers on tomorrow. So, it's coming along greatly. I just have to figure out something for the Bride's Maids. We haven't decided on a dress yet, but something tells me we'll be deciding on something soon. We also, got to look at little suits for Brev. He looked really handsome- as usual. When I got home they were still up and I got to say good night to them. I don't like missing their bedtime routine. Hopefully, I won't be working many more nights...I'm going to go watch Sling Blade now...G'nite!

TAKE A PEEK AT SOME OF THE DRESSES I TRIED ON YESTERDAY AND TAKE A LOOK AT THE DRESS I DID PICK...BUT JUST A PEAK!

The Train

The train Originally uploaded by Hsandia34.

A SNEAK PEAK of my dress. I don't want to reveal it until the special day. It won't have a train when they are done with it...that's a reason why I am showing this. They need to "bussle" (sp?) it... So, when all is said and done it will NOT have a train...which is a good thing for an outdoor wedding.

The HEAVY dress

The HEAVY dress Originally uploaded by Hsandia34.

This dress is extremely HEAVY! See, my expression on my face...it's just hard to walk in this thing. I can't imagine dragging it outside...No way! You have to be comfortable for your wedding day. I was also told, you have to be able to sit down in your dress. That's the ultimate test.

It's Okay...

Is it a night gown? or a Dress?

I tried this on. You can't really tell how these dresses are going to be until you do try them on. This one ended up looking like a night gown. It's cute...but the lady said it looks like a night gown. I was laughing so hard. It DOES look like one, don't you think? hehe...

Ehhh

This is a beautiful dress by Oleg Cassini. It has a lot of detail that you're not able to see... I wasn't able to purchase it because it was way too much money.

WEDDING

GREAT NEWS FLOATING AROUND EVERYWHERE....I went to try on wedding dresses yesterday and I found a beautiful one. I got my wedding dress yesterday for practically NOTHING! I'm so happy!!!! I couldn't be happier. :-) I'm grinning from ear to ear these last two days. Today, I also got the date of our wedding confirmed. YAY! Since, it's such a small wedding it would have only been confirmed 30 days prior. Just a second ago I received a email confimring. Probably, because I keep bothering her...but hey, it worked! Now, when we get the proof sheet for the inviations, we can confim that all is good. I am so happy that everything is falling into place. I couldn't be happier!!!! Things were looking shaky in the beginning and now everything is going really well. 8-)

  • I'm a Christian bride and blessed mom of two beautiful children. I got married to the love of my life on August 11th. We've been together for over 9 years. I was born and raised in NY and I miss my home. I love the sound of rain.:) I hate the smell of butter cooking.:-P I adore all types of animals. I have 2 cats that I love very much. I wish I could have more animals, but this is good for now. We also feed the birds outside and I have a squirrel that comes, too! We have to feed God's creatures! Everyone needs LOVE and food. :)
